Shawn Judge, Founder of The Speaker's Edge
I founded The Speaker’s Edge in 1999 to give business professionals communication training that went beyond preparing them for an isolated presentation or media interview.
In 2020, Governor Tim Walz appointed me to serve on the Fourth District (Hennepin County) Judicial Selection Commission and in 2014, I was appointed by the Minnesota Supreme Court to serve on the Lawyers Professional Responsibility Board. I’ve taught at the Mitchell Hamline School of Law, the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and have trained attorneys from around the country through The National Institute for Trial Advocacy. I am a board member of the St. Paul Conservatory for Performing Arts, a former board member of the National Association of Women Business Owners-Minnesota Chapter and have served as a member of the Guthrie Theater’s Community Advisory Committee.
As a trained actor and experienced coach, I’ve worked with hundreds of individuals and organizations – from CEOs to managers – to communicate confidently. The work goes far beyond enunciation and reading the room to ensure the message you deliver is strategically strong, focused, and accessible to your audience. Our work together explores every angle – from target audience to key messages, breathing and body language, pacing, storytelling, creating memorable moments, and more.
